Kahu Whakatere
Kahu Whakatere supports whānau into restoring tikanga Māori practices in the deathing, death and after death process and supports whānau to journey alongside loved ones in a way that honours both ancestors and Papatūānuku. Kahu Whakatere empowers the use of sustainable practices when managing tūpāpaku, revitalises the weaving of whāriki, Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga, karanga, karakia, whaikorero, waiata, and strengthens and promotes wairuatanga embedded in matauranga Māori for future generations.
Ngā Taonga Tuku Iho - The Beginning to a New You
My framework is based on the principals that our tupuna have already taught us through generations. The sharing of my personal journey of grief and loss of my beauty baby Genesis in 2021, utilises the connection back to who I am and what I value to ensuring that I can heal in a healthy positive way and support others who may have been on a similar journey.
A Tangata Whenua Approach To Manaaki ki te Tangata
I have spent much of my life in service to my people, raised in a whānau hapu environment with the type of embuing that centralises your focus on whānau motuhake and hapu rangatiratanga, politically attuned from the cradle. Empowered by value sets that have built my resilience over time, I can appreciate the multi-faceted approaches needed to strengthen and enhance whānau identity and connection, specifically, protective structures that envelop rather than disempower.
