Kirimatao Paipa has a wealth of knowledge and skills from her decades of work as a family violence practitioner, Kaupapa Māori researcher and evaluator. She is currently studying a Masters of Applied Indigenous Knowledge through Te Wānanga o Aotearoa and also teaches te reo Māori. Kirimatao is genuine and authentic. Not afraid to be Māori wherever she is. When working with whānau she models the tikanga instilled in her. One thing that drives her is that whānau are supported to be their best through the application of tikanga.
ROLINDA KARAPU
Ngāti Awa, Ngāti Pukeko, Ngāi Tuhoe, Ngāti Pōrou, Ngai Tai
Rolinda is a mother, nan, family violence advocate and a Māori researcher. She has a Master of Applied Psychology, a Bachelor of Social Sciences with Honours, and a PRINCE 2 certification. In her role as Kaitiaki-a-Whare-Wahine the thing that is most important to her is the moemoeā that wahine Māori take their rightful place as leaders, carers, nurturers, and educators to their whānau, hapū and iwi. That the status of Māori women as he whare tangata is respected, revered and protected as vessels of our future generations. That alongside tāne Māori the preservation of whakapapa is ensured and enduring where our tamariki are safe, well and thriving.
